Australian practice room 11 has completed the melbourne headquarters of royal –a specialist in the hire, sale and modification of new and refurbished shippingcontainers. Appropriately, the workplace is built entirely from the steelunits, utilizing the fabrication and construction methods employed by theorganization.
The scheme repurposes theenclosed volumes as a series of connected light-filled rooms interspersed withareas of plantation. Offices and reception areas are articulated around acentral courtyard, while the meeting room, kitchen and principal offices arelinked to further external enclosures.
20ft and 40ftcontainers are positioned to create four courtyards, forming a completerectangle. The ends of each unit are replaced with full height glazing,while ceilings are also left exposed, covered with rigid insulation and amembrane roof. Two steel vessels are set vertically, placed on end to create anarrow void with a skylight naturally illuminating the building’s interior. 澳大利亚建筑事务所room 11完成了墨尔本royal wolf总部的项目，目前在招聘一名专家,负责销售和翻新集装箱。工作间采用钢建筑构造，工艺比较新颖。一连串的房屋并排修建，周围还有些种植园，加以点缀。每个房间的采光很好，光线充足，办公室和接待区围绕庭院而建。会议室、厨房和主办公室也是相连而建的。工作间是完全的钢制结构。
20英尺和40英尺大的集装箱构成了四个庭院, 整体成一个完整的矩形。每个建筑单元的末端采用玻璃窗, 天花板则使用绝缘材料，表面覆盖了一层膜，隔音隔热效果好。外部钢铁的设计线条垂直分布，空隙比较狭窄，自然光照到室内，通透而明亮。建筑空隙的小块土地也被充分利用起来，种上多种花草树木，增添了绿意。
